It is the mission of St. Ambrose Parish (Little Hocking) through the Sacred Heart Retreat House to reach out and provide people with the following:

• a place of quiet, renewal, prayer in a peaceful, restful atmosphere 
• a place where all can feel welcomed and safe 
• a place where lives can be enriched through retreats, spirituality and educational programs 
• a place where those with limited means can come to serve and be served 
• a place where children can laugh and play 
• a place where families can gather and experience forgiveness, love, celebration, unity 
• a place where God's kindom can be experienced
